Why not consider joining us?
1) As a Player
If you are an instrumentalist, the conductor and committee are always pleased to see potential new members and we are happy for anyone to give the orchestra a try for a couple of weeks to see if you are interested in becoming a permanent member. We are always in need of more string players and from time to time we also need additional wind players.
If you decide to join the orchestra as a player and are confirmed by the committee as being of the required standard (generally at least grade 7, although experience is taken into account), the annual membership fee is £65 per year for adults and £15 for students.
If you play a musical instrument and would like to be involved, please email John Bateson via Contact Us
2) As a Friend
If you don’t play a musical instrument, but come along regularly to our concerts, then why not consider joining us as a Friend of the Orchestra? Our list of Friends is growing due to our popularity and in return for your support in joining the Friends Scheme, you will receive a complimentary ticket to each of our three concerts that we give each year.
The cost of our Friends membership is £25 per person or £40 for a couple.
