As an amateur orchestra, the Committee have to carefully balance the needs for each of our concerts in terms of cost and this has many factors attached to it. Whilst our main consideration will be the concert venue, the next most important will be our choice of music. This is determined not only by our capability of performing it to a good standard, but also by the cost factor in the orchestration where additional players and a soloist may be needed,
We have indeed been most grateful in the past to a number of both individuals and companies who have very kindly sponsored a particular concert by giving us a financial donation towards the cost of staging that concert or perhaps by paying the cost of the soloist’s fee,
